End of Course – EDTech 542

This course has given me a better overall understanding of PBL.  I was introduced to it first at Boise State University and then again in a Professional Development opportunity at my school.  One thing I understand best is that it is an ever-changing process.  As a teacher we can always adapt and change our projects to make them better.

This is the first time I have looked at it from a technologist’s point of view.  Looking for ways to incorporate 21st Century Skills and Idaho Core Standards.

I expected to learn more about the process in this course.  I learned this and so much more.  I am a hands on learner so actually creating a PBL and using Google Sites to create the project was an added bonus for me.  I think I need to spend more time looking through the curriculum available at school and creating some lessons or opportunities for flipped learning in this project.

My goal for what do to with the knowledge I have gained is to share it with my co teachers.  I want them to be able to see that PBL is manageable and important for learning.  I will share my project with them and ask for their insight and feedback on how to improve it.  I hope that since I am not in the classroom the next couple years, that one of my old teammates will actually use it. I also would like to work with the art specialists at my school to finish incorporating the art elements.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with me.  I appreciate all the feedback I can get to make this project even more of a success.
